Shiri started life as a tour guide while serving in the IDF, where her role was to guide soldiers on field trips. She later graduated at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Political Science. In parallel to her academic studies, she completed the Israeli Ministry of Tourism course and became a licensed tour guide in 1988.
Having lived for several years in Berlin and Paris, Shiri speaks fluent German and French, in addition to her fluent English and Hebrew, her mother tongue.
Gifted with an exceptionally beautiful voice and a love for singing, Shiri sang for several years with the Tel Aviv Philharmonic Choir. It’s not unusual to hear her singing “Ave Maria” at the Dormition Abbey to her groups, or the famous “Yerushalayim Shel Zahav” (“Jerusalem of Gold”) or other beautiful songs related to the places of visit.
Whether you are Christian, Catholic, Protestant or any other nomination, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist or atheist, or belong to any other congregation, you will enjoy Shiri’s cosmopolitan, bright and intelligent guiding style.
