german tourist in Jerusalem

This picture means a lot to me. I was guiding a German group of 10 wonderful people for few days around Israel. As we are walking back from the Western Wall, all of a sudden we see an orthodox Jewish family. I said hello and they where asking where is my group from. Once the word Germany was mentioned, there was first a short moment of silence. Then the orthodox Jewish lady told us about their entire family who was murdered during the Holocaust and said – „this belongs to the past“. She saw what goodness in the people in front of her, and we all together hugged each other and took this picture together. The power of forgiving is one of the strongest power which exist in our world.
